The once stuffy Balmoral hotel reopens next month with a groovy grand makeover: sumptuous red furnishings chanderliers, Victorian fireplaces, four posters, LouisXV-style armchairs, leather chesterfields & gilt-edged mirrors doubles from £110.00 per night

The look will be clubby with open fires, chesterfield sofas, dark wood floors and regency wallpaper mixed with the requisite Wi-Fi, LCD plasma screen televisions & 24 hour room service.

The hotel’s restaurant, the Harrogate Grille (sister to the Hoxton Grille) will serve breakfast and steak-and-chips style dinners and more than 20 wines by the glass (70 by the bottle) with a two-course children’s menu and members’ cocktail bar.
